The city of light

After flying from Istanbul to Rome to London and returning to Oxford to do laundry and relax for two days, I took a 5:30 a.m. Eurostar train to Paris with Margot! In all honesty, I'm a little too excited to write a real post right now.

(Why? Because I'm about to go to the ball! This ball. I'm going with around twenty other freshers from Pembroke, including Brianna, Margot, and Lydia). So you'll have to content yourself with these photos.

Margot & me, first morning. Notre Dame!
Louvre pyramid
Monet's water lilies at L'Orangerie (where we got in for FREE. Let's hear it for EU student visas!)
We may or may not have spent 17 Euros on cheese. But it was for THREE different meals. For two people. And it was cheese. In PARIS.
I swear I'm not actually a double amputee. (Oh, and we climbed the Eiffel Tower!)
We went for hot chocolate with Rachel, my friend who's doing the Tufts-in-Paris program.
My favorite bookstore in the world? Quite possibly. I remember going there five years ago, but it was a million times better this time around.
Versailles! For free (EU VISA whaaaat!)! With Gills!
Beautiful ladies overlooking the gardens.
I felt so lucky to be at Versailles with a high school friend and an Oxford friend!
Le Petit Trianon (aka the King's private, "small" palace).
Breakfast my last morning in Paris. Chocolate pastry and strawberries, eaten along the Seine across from Notre Dame.

Paris, j'taime!
